Our 4th Dental Charity Conference, which combines science and charity, will present a valuable program that will remain in our memory. A poster competition focusing on prosthetic dentistry will be held as part of the event. The winners of the competition will be announced on the conference day. We invite dentists, students and dental technicians to present clinical or laboratory cases, treatment procedures or scientific research.
Topic: Prosthetic dentistry and/or multidisciplinary approach between prosthodontics and other fields of dentistry.
The poster text should consist of the following sections:
- Introduction
- Treatment
- Method and material
- Discussion and conclusion
- 1) The introduction should include the patient's age, gender, if any, concomitant diseases (diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, etc.), and harmful habits (tobacco, alcohol). Brief and general information about the topic of the poster should be provided. The patient’s dental complaints and pathologies detected during the examination should be noted. The patient’s photos before and after treatment should be included in this section.
- 2) The details of the treatment steps should be explained in clear and understandable sentences, and visualized with intra- and/or extra-oral photographs. In particular, the application of smile analysis should be demonstrated when presenting clinical cases involving the aesthetic zone. Logical coherence and balance should be ensured between sentences and images.
- 3) The treatment method used and the technical innovation must be described in detail in at least five sentences. The generic names (non-commercial) of the drugs must be mentioned.
- 4) The discussion section should reflect the advantages, importance and relevance of the applied methods and techniques, and include changes in the patient’s quality of life as a result of treatment and subsequent follow-up results. It may also include a comparison of the work done with traditional methods.
